Dining experiences with a difference in London
London is full of great places to eat but we’ve found a few events that offer a truly unusual dining experience. From London’s first brunch festival to Australian brunch on a barge there’s something going on in London for every type of foodie this August and September.
Retox Brunch – The Perception at W Hotel
From 18th August onwards you can retox, detox, and repeat at The Perception at W Hotel. Satisfy your cravings with the decadent food on offer whilst indulging in 2 hours worth of free-flowing bubbles. Wash it all down and detox with unlimited fresh smoothies and fruit, plus homemade granola and healthy salads. There are also the tasty brunch staples like smashed avocado and eggs Benedict or a lip-smacking Tuna Tataki on offer. If you want to stay late, there’s a dessert stage, cheese station, and some of the boldest health-conscious options you can find.
Yoga and Bottomless Brunch – Barrio Brixton x House of Voga
On September 8th Barrio Brixton and House of Voga are collaborating to bring you yoga followed by a boozy Latino-inspired bottomless brunch. If you’re a yogi but are looking for something a little more upbeat and fun than your usual Sunday morning class then this is the event for you. Get bendy in this tropical London hangout and then jam out with friends to 80’s Latino vibes and chow down on some delicious food and unlimited cosmic cocktails.
Multi-sensory Dining Experience – The Gastrophysics Chef’s Table
Hosted by Experimental Chef Jozef Youssef and Michelin chefs you will be taken through a 10 course, immersive, multi-sensory tasting menu. Held in the intimate and relaxed setting of London’s Chef’s Table you’ll see the chefs at work as the experience unfolds with the aid of lighting, colour, sound, aroma and textures. The menu explores a broad variety of ingredients, flavours, textures, and is full of references to classic European techniques, Japanese philosophy and Mexican vibrancy. Only available on Fridays and Saturdays from the 24th August to 27th October, this is an unmissable dining experience.
Darcie and May Green Australian Brunch – Grand Union Canal
Pop down to Grand Union Canal for an all-day Australian brunch on a barge. The menu offers everything from shakshuka and banana bread sandwiches to avocado on charcoal sourdough and broccoli and corn fritters. Make it a bottomless brunch and for just £39.50 for a 2-hour table your receive one savoury dish, one sweet dish and bottomless prosecco & mimosas. What’s not to like?
London Brunch Fest – The Old Truman Brewery
Brunch festival klaxon! Yep, London is getting a brunch festival and it will be the biggest celebration of brunch that London has ever seen. As well as the great brunch food and drink from vendors including Aranchini Bros, The Gentleman’s Baristas, and Cafe Miami, there also will be live DJ sets from some of London’s hottest emerging DJ’s including DJ Maj-ik, Ceesix, Greg Hale and Dozzer. Tickets include entry to the festival, a limited edition tote bag and access to talks, workshops and other festival features.
