RECIPE: Leah Vanderveldt’s CBD Chocolate and Peanut Butter Smoothie
Wellness writer and CBD enthusiast Leah Vanderveldt’s colourful Instagram account is your one-stop-shop for nourishing recipes, tarot enthusiasm and self-care tips. Her new cookbook, The CBD Kitchen, is full of easy snacks and delicious meals that will leave you inspired to do some oil-infused cooking, like this CBD smoothie. You’ll find it hard to believe this is the definition of “wellness”.
This is a healthier spin on a chocolate and peanut butter milkshake. I love combining cacao with CBD oil, as I do throughout my book, because both work so well for calming the body, especially with cacao’s magnesium levels and CBD’s anti-inflammatory qualities.
Combine all the ingredients in a blender and process until the mixture is smooth, then sit back and enjoy
• 355ml coconut or almond milk
• 11⁄2 frozen bananas, peeled
• 115g frozen cauliflower florets
• 2 tbsps cacao powder
• 1–2 tbsps peanut butter
• 1⁄4 tsp CBD oil
