RunFestRun is back and bigger than ever
Why not start 2020 as you mean to go on: by doing something positive and life-affirming?
RunFestRun is in its sophomore year, following a hugely successful launch in 2019. And you can book tickets to the running party now.
The first festival of its kind (the only high you’ll get is from running-induced endorphins), the launch event entertained 6,000 people. And, given this is the brainchild of the great Chris Evans, RunFestRun is somehow going bigger and better this time with 10,000 attendees expected at the nation’s biggest running party.
“RunFestRun is the first festival I’ve ever been to that made me feel better after it was over than I did before it began,” beamed Chris, who hosts the event with Vassos Alexander, part of the team from The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on Virgin Radio.
And Vassos adds: “We were blown away by how positive and awesome you were all weekend at the first RunFestRun – and can’t wait to see you for the next one!”
One of the most magical things about RunFestRun is that everyone will get a kick out of it, whether you’re on track to turn pro or have just about managed to get off the sofa. There are timed races including a 2.5k, 3k road race, 5k, 10k & Half Marathon. Or you can focus on running for fun in the Nighttime Neon Run, Ultimate Family Fun Run and, new for 2020: The Party Run. After all, why run and then party when you can do it all at the same time?
As well as running events, RunFestRun boasts inspirational talks, live music, family activities and camping.
As well as Chris and Vassos, you’ll find such sporting icons as Paula Radcliffe, Colin Jackson, Steve Cram, Sally Gunnell, Jo Pavey and more. “What a resounding success,” said Paula after the 2019 event. “It was an amazing family festival of fun that has us all still smiling.”
RunFestRun 2020 comes to Windsor Great Park 22nd-24th May. Tickets on sale now from runfestrun.co.uk
