Manifestation: Can Meditation help us achieve it?
Meditation is a powerful tool to connect us into the very source of life. It’s fascinating as scientists and quantum physicists discover and prove things that great meditators have known for a very long time. When we go deep into meditation we reach what many people call a ‘still point’, a void, or a vacuum. Physicists use the analogy of going from the ‘particle’ to the ‘wave’ when we enter the void. That means we go from feeling a separate singular entity with our identity (the particle) to coming into the feeling of being ‘no one’ and ‘no thing’ (the wave).
When we are in this space (that is called ‘the void’ by meditators or ‘the vacuum’ by quantum physicists) it’s where all creation springs forth from, and we have the power to manifest with our Consciousness. There are countless meditations in the Vijnana Bhairava Tantra sutras that focus on meditating on the void. The word void in English sounds like emptiness, but in fact the opposite is true. This space is full of potential, it’s full of frequencies and energies that our human aspect doesn’t always pick up on. That is because we’ve been conditioned to only focus and acknowledge material physical matter.
The void is the source of all creation and has fascinated physicists for decades as they try to apply equations to it. But for the purpose of this article and to keep things super simple the void is a place where we can create things from through manifestation.
You’ve probably heard the expression where your attention goes, energy flows – so whatever vision you put your attention on in the void, is likely to start to grow IF the universe choses to conspire with you.
Whether we realise it or not we are always in touch with this vacuum or void, feeding it information about our experiences in life. Most of the time we do this unconsciously. So when we affirm in our thoughts that “I”m not good, I’ll never get that job, I can’t afford nice things, I’m a loser” we’re affirming that back into this vacuum unconsciously, and that is often what manifests into our life.
When we meditate and reach ‘still point’ however we are consciously tapping into this vacuum. When we are more consciously connecting with it, we are in a state that is very powerful to ‘plant seeds’ for things that you would like to come into your reality. So we are always using manifestation, whether we are conscious of it or not, and planting seeds in meditation is using your consciousness in a more direct way.
Now the most important thing is what are you manifesting? Is it for the greater good or for personal gain? This is why many meditation groups often gather and meditate visualising world peace, that everyone is happy, healthy and well. Anything from the void is a gift and in spiritual traditions it is enforced that we use this power for the good of all beings, and not just for personal gain.
BUT WHY ARE YOU USING MANIFESTATION?
If you’re ‘not sure’ what to manifest this is perfectly fine and normal, and in fact a powerful place to be as then you are more open to universal energies moving through you and giving you signs for your next steps in life. This concept has a name “wei wu wei” which translates to “doing, but not doing”. This means that you as a human are surrendering more, rather than ‘doing’ from the mind, you sit in meditation, and afterwards see what actions naturally arise, what intuitions come. This means you’re working more with the Greater Will than your own Personal Will. It’s more about allowing yourself to be a vessel for divine intuition and insights rather than forcing everything from your mind.
I think most of us would agree that the most magical things that happen in our life are the things that are even better than what we could have imagined, and when we meditate and are open to miracles rather than forcing ideas from our mind we are more open to this kind of magic.
So yes at the end of your meditation it is a very potent time to plant seeds for manifestation because you are tapped into the void of potential. But also be open to what information comes out of the meditation, what insights, intuitions; don’t’ be too forceful with what your mind thinks is right as it can close you off to some important information and block you from greater things.
The energy and creative force from meditation is immense and definitely deserves great reverence for us. We are powerful creators, but ultimately everything is borrowed from the void, when we leave our physical body, we leave material possession behind. It’s important to remember that any manifestation is a co-creation with this energy.
The most powerful thing we can be manifesting now is the ‘new earth’, a place where all beings are healthy, happy, free from suffering and on their path of growing and developing.
This is because ultimately it’s the void that connects us all, and until we are all free, no one is truly free, until we are all happy, no one is truly happy and until we are all rich, no one is truly rich.
Hopefully this has inspired you to deepen your meditation practice and realise how powerful it is to create your life from this space of manifestation.
