Restore Your Balance for Free with Eccleston Yards
During lockdown, it’s been easy to put our general wellbeing to the back of our minds, in favour of endless box-sets and justifications that you can’t be expected to take the utmost care of your mental and physical health during a global pandemic.
However, of course, there’s never been a more vital time to ensure you have all-round balance in your life.
This is precisely why stunning Eccleston Yards – Belgravia’s new destination for creatives, foodies and wellness lovers – is hosting a virtual wellness festival on its Instagram channel – to reach as many people as possible with a view to restoring wellbeing.
Taking place from 24-26 July, you’ll find a series of yoga, fitness and meditation classes, a mindfulness session as well as wellness tips and talks.
Retailers in the yards will be putting on a rich array of wellbeing classes, including sound baths with Re:Mind. As anyone who has enjoyed a sound bath will attest, this is a soul-enriching way to rediscover your natural all-round equilibrium, and reconnect with a less-jaded you.
You’ll also discover Biohacking with LondonCryo – this promises to be a must-watch chat, especially for anyone looking to jolt themselves out of any lockdown comfort zone in which you might have found yourself. Biohacking, ultimately, is about wanting to be your best self, while LondonCryo goes from strength to strength as more of us push our bodies to sub-zero limits in the quest for self-improvement.
There are live yoga classes with Hotpod yoga, something BALANCE is particularly excited about; we’ve been relying on apps for our home yoga, and the chance to join in with a live event adds that frisson of excitement, as well as a warm and welcome community vibe. Not to mention a fantastic pilates session by Light Centre with a focus on relieving stress and anxiety and Barry’s will be hosting a fitness class as well as a healthy brunch!
You can also enjoy one of the hottest trends in wellbeing: mindful sketching, with the fine folk at MasterPeace (and, yes, that is a contender for best name ever).
Throughout the festival, there will also be special guest experiences – including mind, body and spirit practice through Qigong with Katie Brindle, plus classes from both Holistic Therapist and Founder of Silou London, Phoebe Greenacre, and The Breathe Guy, Richie Bostock.
Plus, with lots of competitions planned throughout the weekend, festival attendees will have plenty of opportunities to win prizes from some of Eccleston Yard’s best-loved brands.
The festival is a timely reminder as to how wonderful Eccleston Yards is, and how many of us will no doubt returning to one of London’s most beloved wellbeing hubs once studios re-open.
If you’ve never been, you simply must (as soon as we’re all allowed, of course!); just a short walk from Victoria station, Eccleston Yards is a calming urban oasis for wellness lovers, foodies and creatives in SW1, all centred around a beautiful courtyard with events and a weekly outdoor Sunday market launching in August.
