Try fitness al fresco this #WimbledonWorkoutWeek
Maybe it’s because us Londoners don’t get much sunshine most of the year, but we seem to leap at the chance to head outdoors the second the temperature rises.
From pub gardens to rooftop restaurants, riverside rambles to kerbside coffee tables, we’ll use any excuse to move our meetings and meet-ups out into the open air.
Now there’s a new ‘summer in the city’ tradition emerging: outdoor workouts.
Leading the al fresco fitness trend are three of the capital’s most iconic destinations Cardinal Place in Victoria, One New Change in St Paul’s and New Street Square in Holborn who have joined forces to create Wimbledon Workout Week from June 25 to 30.
To inspire people to swap sweaty gyms for sunny rooftops and stylish plazas, the organisers have pulled together a seriously strong line-up of London’s most respected and in-demand trainers and experts from WIT, Gymbox, TriYoga, Yogangster, Pure Sport Med, CariFit, Frame and 1Rebel, putting on bespoke classes and experiences across the three locations.
To make it even more irresistible, each session costs just £5 with all the proceeds going to support Britains largest children’s charity, Barnardo’s.
Places are limited and available on a first-come-first-served basis, so book now to avoid disappointment.
#WimbledonWorkoutWeek is just the first part of #Great British Summer a whole season of events and activities, including free outdoor screenings across London of all the tennis action live from SW19.
