July is eclipse season and Mercury turns retrograde on July the 7th. This could prove to be a testing month, but it could also be marvellous. This is an opportunity to upgrade, deepen your emotional life, let the past go and sail into the new with a raw but open heart.

Cancer Season

Mars leaves your sign on the 2nd but Venus and the Moon join on the 4th. Take action, protect the things you care about, be forthright and act with heart led intention.

The eclipses on the 2nd and 16th offer an opportunity to wipe the slate clean and reconnect to what feels right to you. Remember that empathy is your greatest superpower, any controlling tendencies can be neutralised by the healing capacity of your big heart.

The new moon eclipse on the 2nd makes this the day to write down your intentions.

Mercury turns retrograde on the 7th for the rest of the month, this time is about re-evaluating and reminding yourself of what you love.

The full moon lunar eclipse on the 16th calls for you to tend to your relationships. Leave the past in the past and trust your emotions to serve you at this time.

Leo

Mercury will retrograde back into your sign on the 19th and a pair of eclipses will fall in the zones of your chart to rule health, healing and the subconscious.

A few hours before the eclipse on the 2nd, Mars will join Mercury to provide the oomph you need to feel motivated into making necessary changes. Take time to mull over your intentions this month, some unexpected ideas may bubble to the surface.

On the 9th, the Sun opposes Saturn and then on the 14th the Sun will oppose Pluto.  These big power players could indicate a barrier to self-expression that pushes you to refine where you are going and what you want to do.

The 11th and 29th are more liberated days where you should reconnect to your dreams and express yourself as authentically as possible.

When Mercury leaves your sign on the 19th it enters your dream zone connecting you to your subconscious, encouraging you to either conquer or surrender.

Virgo 

Your ruler goes retrograde on the 7th of the month and this will impact on you more than most! Your nature asks you to be exact, detailed and ensure life operates at full efficiency.  This month, as Mercury moves back from Leo into Cancer you might want to relax a little, let go of that perfectionist streak and go with the flow. 

The eclipses are asking you to get involved with your friends, create the life you want, look at the bigger picture and “don’t sweat the small stuff.”  Take deep breaths, leave some room for error and beware the inner critic, its voice holds you back and your sweet caring nature wants to thrive.

Libra

The eclipses are alerting you to the opportunities you can create when you connect to what feels right and make an effort to build the life you want to see. An eclipse is a time to wipe the slate clean and dive into understanding what you want to feel and making that happen. Lead from a place of love, not duty.  

Your ruler, Venus is in the mix with the Lunar eclipse on the 16th of July. The word SHOULD springs to mind. The pull to put your needs after other’s, or vice versa, is probably playing out in your life at the moment.  Remove the “oughts” and decide what you want to construct in your life. Your diplomacy skills are being put to the test, old habits die here, move forward and let go of expectations.

Scorpio

Your ruler Pluto is still at the South Node, old habits can be flushed away here. Ever familiar with transformation, turbulence and change there is a possibility for high drama and passionate scenes. However, your transformation is supported and this translates as a release.

This reset occurs on the 2nd and supports the release of bad habits and an opportunity to create anything that you secretly crave. With the eclipse taking place in your 9th house, destinations abroad, higher education and making your dream project a reality is implicated but it takes work, focus, determination and a refusal to absorb any negativity. 

Mercury moves retrograde on the 7th, so The Moon will be in Scorpio on the 10th, 11th and 12th of July, with the 11th being a particularly well supported day for letting go and connecting easily to what you really feel.

Sagittarius

Jupiter is resting in your sign and from the 25th July to the 29th August. This is an opportunity to boost the impact of big dreams, make this summer the summer of love.

The eclipses are prodding at your finances and your value system. Saving, prudent spending, setting limits and not falling into bad habits will set you free and open up your personal value system without limits. 

An erratic relationship with finances trickles into relationships an all areas of life. Financial security can help you to bond with another and reduce the fear factor of commitment and bonding. The eclipse on the 2nd sparks this part of your chart and asks you to set some clear intentions that relate to your finances, values and intimate relationships.

Capricorn

The eclipse on the 2nd brings your personal relationships to the fore. At this time your self-esteem can be tied up in your relationships but the emergence of a relationship is wholly dependent on our own personal self-esteem.

There is a lunar eclipse in Capricorn on the 16th and this is when emotions are heightened and released. As this full moon is an eclipse you have the opportunity to accept the constraints that have previously held you back in order to move beyond them or surrender. Aquarius

Your naturally humanitarian disposition could be activated into action with the first eclipse this month when you decide to contribute to a group or project that is larger than yourself.  This is also the most excellent time to begin a new health regime, eliminate excess and really commit to your goals. The eclipses this month are robust and require work, determination and focus. No one can do this for you.

You do not always love rules and being told what to do, so the involvement of Saturn and Pluto with these eclipses could make you feel hemmed in, restricted and worst of all; talked down to. The solution is to harness your own inner power, focus and determination and take ownership of the new regime. The work is hard but the fruits of your labours will be potentially life-changing.

Pisces

The upcoming eclipse on 2nd July is inviting you to explore your creative relationships; both those with children in your life and exploring your own inner child. 

“Spiritual development” makes sense at this time; dedication to your meditative practices, whatever they may be. This will help you to define yourself, what you want, love and need with more clarity.

If you have been resisting change and progress then July could be a great time to go back over old ground. The eclipses are calling you to take hold of your identity and firmly stamp your place in the world.

Aries

Your ruler leaves Cancer for Leo on 2nd July and this should see you feeling more energised and vital than the past month.  However, the eclipses are calling you to action and the focus for you, again, is family and home life.

Due to the nature of these eclipses, you are leaving things behind, moving on to pastures new and learning to let go of any limitations that hold you back.  Security is a keyword at this time.

Taurus
