From silent discos to indulgent cheese-laden movie nights, this is a selection of the most unique experiences happening in and around our capital, so pick your poison, get out there and hopefully enjoy the sunshine…
LETTING GO YOGA
On 20 July BALANCE is hosting a yoga and brunch event in collaboration with Sweat and Sound and Bloomberg Arcade. Surrounded by a live orchestra and led by fitness experts from Sweat & Sound, this extraordinary yoga session will allow you to unravel and connect with your heart, grounding yourself in strength and love. After the yoga, you can head over to Caravan for a nourishing brunch with a choice of drinks.
WANDERLUST 108
Come ready to sweat, smile and shop at Wanderlust’s one-day wellness festival in Battersea Park on 27 July. Start with sunrise meditation before embarking on the “5k your way”, followed by a DJ-powered yoga class and a guided group meditation session to round things off. Afterwards, be sure to stop by the Speakeasy, where Balance is hosting expert-led panels on topics ranging from CBD to body positivity.
SILENT SOUNDS BOAT PARTY
Looking for a quiet night out? On 20 July, head to the Millennium Pier and board a two-storey party boat for a unique night of dancing at this silent disco. Pop on your headphones and hop between three DJs (all spinning different genres) while you float past landmarks including the London Eye, Tower Bridge and Big Ben. You’ll soak up the city from a completely different viewpoint.
GREAT BRITISH FOOD FESTIVAL
Inspired by the iconic show, this gourmet gathering is making its way across England and lands at Chiswick House. From 12-14 July, visitors can enjoy delicious food, gin and cheese-offs, plus live music throughout the weekend. Howard Middleton and Jane Beedle (of Great British Bake Off fame) will also host chef demonstrations, making this a treat for mind and body.
LUNA CINEMA
With events splashed across London, there’s an outdoor movie showing nearly every night throughout July. Settle in with friends and family or go it alone to see blockbuster hits like The Greatest Showman (12) and Bohemian Rhapsody (23). Most start at 9.30pm, and you can even take the stress out of concessions by pre-ordering a bucket of beer and a curated cheese box.
