Ed Sheeran to open #IAMWHOLE Music 4 Mental Health concert
On Sunday 18th November the award-winning mental health campaign #IAMWHOLE will present Music 4 Mental Health – a groundbreaking new initiative set to bring incredible individuals, influential communities and some of the most prolific names in British music together for an unforgettable fundraising concert at London’s Roundhouse.
Opening the debut fundraising concert with a very special stripped back acoustic set is none other than Ed Sheeran – one of the world’s biggest and best-selling pop-stars of all time. The sofa-surfer turned megastar has seen global success, not only topping the charts but breaking them; last March the ‘Perfect’ and ‘Galway Girl’ singer had nine songs in the top ten simultaneously. A prominent previous supporter of the #IAMWHOLE campaign and a figure who hasn’t been shy to vocalise his own journey with mental health, Ed will be kicking off proceedings with his stripped back set.
The night is hosted by #IAMWHOLE founding ambassador Jordan Stephens and the night will feature other artists including, Anne-Marie, James Arthur, Ella Eyre and Olly Murs, plus other special guests.
This monumental collaboration project sees Music 4 Mental Health proudly partner with and raise funds for the UK and Ireland’s leading youth and mental health charities; CALM (the Campaign Against Living Miserably), The Mix and YMCA.
- CALM is an award-winning charity dedicated to preventing male suicide. CALM’s free, confidential and anonymous helpline & webchat are open every day, 5pm-midnight.
- The Mix – is a free, confidential information and crisis support service for under 25s, helping over 3 million young people in the UK every year. Whatever issue a young person is facing, The Mix is always there for them – online, over the phone, via text or social media.
- YMCA – is the oldest and largest youth charity in the world and #IAMWHOLE’s founding charity partner. In the UK and Ireland it works in more than 800 different communities and supports 660,000 people every year, ensuring each young person has an opportunity to belong, contribute and thrive.
