Glow Inducing Scrumptious Skin-Supporting Smoothie Recipe
As important as it is to use the correct ingredients in your skincare regime to help heal your skin, boost collagen and future-proof it, its even more essential to actively ensure that the foods you’re eating on a daily basis nourish and ‘feed’ your skin from within. This will not only help to naturally enhance your glow and protect your complexion but will boost your overall health too.
It’s a good idea to start off by looking inwards when it comes to the health of your skin because the foods and drinks you fuel your body with will have a dramatic impact on how your skin looks, feels and behaves.
Common inflammatory skin conditions including acne, rosacea and eczema require more than just topical creams and treatments in order to help achieve the transformational and long-term results you want. By increasing the amount inflammatory foods you eat everyday and by including a variety of fresh, colourful vegetables and nutrient dense wholefoods you will be feeding your skin internally with the antioxidants it needs to thrive and help fight inflammation in your body relating to your skin issues.

So with this in mind, why not start by swapping your usual breakfast for a skin-supporting smoothie packed full of vital antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and plant-based protein to help heal your skin from the inside-out.
This delicious recipe will support your skin with incredible natural healing and collagen friendly ingredients and will also keep you satisfied until lunchtime, preventing you from reaching for refined sugar and salt laden ‘skin-sabotaging’ snacks!
As part of a skin boosting nutrition regime I recommend some of my clients take a supplement to further support their skin journey because whilst its important to remember that food always comes first, I do believe a good quality daily health supplement offers added benefits to ensure all bases are covered in terms of vitamin levels that are sometimes difficult to get from food alone. For example, for very dry or ageing skins in need of a boost I recommend ‘The Hyaluronic Complex’ by Potion London as it contains vitamin C and MSM to support collagen function and formation.
As almost half the body’s hyaluronic acid is found in the collagen of your skin and the moisture retaining properties of hyaluronic acid keep the skin looking hydrated, plump and youthful I also recommend using skincare products containing hyaluronic acid too. This ‘inside-out’ approach will ensure you are doing all you can for the health of your skin.
