Chocolate for breakfast is good for you
We have some great news… It’s been proven that starting the day with chocolate isn’t actually as ridiculous as you thought.
Sure, it’s unlikely to catch on in the green brigade but, around Christmas or Easter, it’s kind of a comfort.
A report on 2017 food trends found dark chocolate is good for both the body and the brain, and Liz Moskow, culinary director at Sterling-Rice Group, says: ‘Eating chocolate prepares you more for your workday, so what better time to incorporate dark chocolate into your meal than breakfast?’
So as you’re wolfing down a bar of Green and Black’s at 7am, just remember: you’re simply absorbing flavonoids in order to improve blood flow to the brain. For a more office-acceptable breakfast, try porridge with dark chocolate grated over the top.
As for the subsequent dental bills? You’re on your own there.
