It’s not just Hackney hipsters. The surge in plant-based diets is a national phenomenon. Up 360% in 10 years, there are now 3.5 million vegans in the UK — which, as well as health, animal welfare and environmental impact, is in part, thanks to the pioneering plant-based types. The stereotypes have fully shifted and meat-free has gone mainstream.

Though cutting out meat, fish and dairy is a good deal easier than it used to be, it’s still comforting to know there are others making the same choices. Maybe you’ve made the same parmesan-free pesto one too many times and you need some new ideas, or you just want some relatable memes to make you feel like you’re making the right choices.
