Newsflash: So, you want to be a yoga teacher?
We all know about the importance of pursuing a passion, but don’t necessarily do anything about it, which is a shame.
The impact can be positively life-changing. After all, it’s amazing how much energy you suddenly get when you’re doing something you love.
Of course, costs become a factor, which is where Yogarise comes in. If you’ve ever thought about becoming a yoga instructor but found financing this dream somewhat prohibitive, there is a unique solution in the form of a full scholarship. We caught up with Yogarise’s Rosie Duncan to find out more.
“The reality is that training to be a yoga teacher is, really, quite an outgoing,” says Rosie. “So we wanted to do our bit, put our money where our mouth is and create an opportunity for someone who otherwise would not be able to afford a 200-hour yoga teacher training course.”
Rosie adds: “The first part to this is a full scholarship on our 2019 Yoga Teacher Training.” And she’s keen to emphasise the word “full”. “This includes flights to India, which we know isn’t usually covered in other YTT Scholarships.
“This place is designed for someone who would love to develop their skills, but isn’t able to fund their teaching.”
“The second bit is the chance to learn the business side of things, while getting paid! We want our candidate to work with us; learning skills that will either apply to them as a new yoga teacher – negotiating the hustle – or acting as transferable tools for whatever they choose to do next.”
As anyone who’s been to Yogarise (in Peckham, Streatham and Covent Garden) will attest, there is a warm and friendly vibe. However, the studio is also a success. So, by spending time and learning from the best yoga minds in the industry, you’ll know your balance sheets from your Balasana and your profit & loss from your pranayama.
