Esther Wojcicki on raising successful people
Esther Wojcicki is known as the Godmother Of Silicon Valley. And, thankfully for us, the incredible 78-year-old is the latest guest on the BALANCE podcast.
Her new book How To Raise Successful People has become a huge hit, thanks partly to the fact that it applies to everyone – not just parents. Indeed, you can take Esther’s wisdom and utilise it in the boardroom, at home and your everyday life. In our chat, Esther talks us through her life-changing acronym: TRICK.
Esther makes for warm, scintillating and inspiring company – small wonder her ex-pupils have gone on to be business leaders, Hollywood actors and sports stars, while her three daughters are all high achievers.
And Esther isn’t called the Godmother Of Silicon Valley for nothing: one daughter is CEO at YouTube, another co-founded 23andMe, Google was essentially created in one daughter’s garage, while she’s inspired the likes of Steve Jobs.
Click here to download via Apple and here to download via Spotify. And it should be available from anywhere else you might happen to download podcasts. You’ll find every episode there too, with previous guests including Ricky Gervais, Fearne Cotton and Kevin Smith.
To the uninitiated, in each episode, deputy editor James Gill (occasionally joined by founder/editor Sophie Scott) chats with luminaries from entertainment, wellness, sport, business and beyond about how to optimise health, happiness and performance. And should you want to rate it five stars, please know we won’t be offended.
