WITH SOLO TRAVEL SET TO BOOM IN 2019, LIFE COACH BEN BIDWELL AKA ‘THE NAKED PROFESSOR’ REVEALS WHY WE SHOULD ALL BE GOING IT ALONE
With a recent boom in the solo travel market, it’s becoming clear that more and more of us are enjoying the endless benefits of travelling alone. Whether it’s to tick off a bucket-list travel experience, get some much-needed headspace or to find a new sense of independence, there are so many good reasons to head off on a personal adventure.
Jumping on this years’ biggest travel trend is The Big Retreat Wales, the UK’s greatest holistic feel-good festival for 2019. The entire four-day weekend is a celebration of good food, music and a fully-loaded wellbeing programme geared perfectly for the solo-traveller. This year, The Big Retreat even have a dedicated Facebook group for solo Retreaters too!
Joining the main stage for 2019 is Mind-set and Purpose Life Coach Ben Bidwell, also known as The Naked Professor. Together with TV’s Matt Johnson, Ben is co-host of chart-topping podcast ‘The Naked Professors’, a series that aims to strip down the perceptions of mental health.
The ultimate aim of The Big Retreat Wales is to inspire and delight, whether you’re on your own or not. Whether you’re taking a workshop with breath expert Richie Bostock or wetting your appetite in the Cook Tent with TV Chef Lisa Fearn, there is an entire programme of our very favourite things to do.

The Big Retreat Wales will take place on the stunning Old Castle Site in Lawrenny from 24th to 27th May 2019. Day tickets cost from £15, with weekend passes starting from £50 and under-5s admitted free. Admission includes access to all on-site fitness and wellbeing sessions, workshops, wild swimming, talks and live performances, whilst an additional cost will be charged for the use of hot tubs and massage.
