5 August events that can’t be missed
The summer holidays might make August a month filled with quieter commutes and colleague-less offices, but that certainly doesn’t mean London is closed for business. From exercise pop-ups to our very own yoga and brunch session, these five events are just the ticket for anyone seeking some summer balance in the capital.
1) PLAY TIME: Eccleston Yards Croquet Pitch
A community hub of wellness and creativity, how about heading to the beautiful Eccleston Yards – which, for the whole of August, will be transformed into a croquet pitch? Sessions run all day, so whether you’re looking for a way to occupy the kids on a Saturday morning, or you and your work mates fancy swapping the packed pub for some drinks and friendly competition, there’ll be something for you at Eccleston Yards. It’s £10 per group (of up to six) for 30 mins, and all profits will go to the fantastic charity, Doorstep Library. Sessions can be booked via email at bookbelgravia@
When? Everyday throughout August, from 11am – 10:10pm

2) FOODIES + FESTIVAL GOERS: Vegan Days
A plant-based party with a festival set-up, the incredibly popular Vegan Nights team are kicking off VFor – two weeks of vegan and conscious living events at the Truman Brewery – with their very first ‘Vegan Days’. During this family-friendly weekend, the Truman Brewery will play host to an ethical market place, special wellness activities, plenty of bars, and heaps of your favourite plant-based stalls, shops and pop-ups. Basically, it’s a social and relaxed weekend filled with the (coconut) cream of the vegan crop. Good music and a truck-load of jackfruit? What could be better?
