An evening exploring 'The Health Question'

   |   Anti Riot Diet Club

Have you ever had the ‘BUT WHAT ABOUT YOUR HEALTH?’ question thrown in your face?
Do you want to know why body positivity isn’t promoting “obesity” or “unhealthy lifestyles”?
Are you keen to find out more about what ‘Health At Every Size’ means?
Do you want learn more so you can respond better to the concern trolls of the world?

Then this event is for you!

Why?

Whether we like it or not, the body acceptance movement is increasingly tied up in debates about health, whether being fat-positive is promoting being “unhealthy”, whether people like Tess Holliday should be on the cover of magazines, and even STILL people insist that dieting IS the healthy option. So this next instalment of Anti Diet Riot Club is here to save the proverbial day and to give you the tools, information, and energy to keep spreading the body positive message.

Who?

To do this, we’re enlisting the support of FOUR amazing experts for a panel discussion exploring how health is not linked inextricably with weight and why non-weight focused approaches in health services are gaining support:

She’s based in London, where she’s cutting through the nutrition BS, and telling people what they really need to know to stay on top of their game. She’s also about to release a book, Just Eat It, which everyone should definitely go an pre-order now.

Nadia Craddock
Nadia Craddock is a body image researcher and PhD candidate at the Centre for Appearance Research, a world leading research centre for body image and appearance psychology in Bristol.
