Founder Focus: Stephen and Greg from 2Budds CBD
What was your eureka moment?
Greg: After suffering with the effects of a post-cancer operation, chemotherapy and the death of my father in 2015 I entered the most difficult period of my life mentally I’ve ever experienced. Being the stubborn person I am I vowed to myself I would never mask my symptoms with pharmaceuticals in any way shape or form. After some research I found that CBD can help with sleep, inflammation and anxiety. I can honestly say that this helped me get through some of those difficult times and was a holistic alternative to drowning my sorrows in alcohol.
Stephen: Mine was in the summer of 2019, when my best friend and pet dog, Wolverine, became ill with a cancer on his eye. This event gave me the push to look more into the power and benefits of CBD products, leading us to the farm in France that now supplies us with our excellent products. Wolverine was on vast amounts of pharma, and after a short time on the pure CBD oil, he came off everything and for his last three months of life was comfortable, which was an incredible blessing. After this sad event, 2BUDDS and our pets line Mansbestbudd were born. Thanks, Wolvy!
What is your elevator pitch?
We offer a free consultation to all clients so we can understand where they are at and what they need; CBD is a big buzz word and there’s lots of misleading marketing out there and products that don’t live up to the hype. We would rather you have the right product specific to your needs, rather than spending your hard earned money on something you simply don’t require. We are looking for long-term loyal clients by offering a transparent, authentic and best-in-class service.
Fear holds too many people back from their dreams
How did you test your idea?
We knew how well it had worked for us, and we knew how well our friends and family responded to the product and our idea. We believe in ourselves and the universe so much that we went for it. Fear holds too many people back from their dreams; we trust the universe that this is our path to helping people that need it. What’s the worst that can happen, right?
What advice would you give someone who wants to start a business on their own?
Do it! As long as you have a passion for it, and it helps others, the money will come in. Don’t just do it for the money. Passion will take you through the tough times so enjoy the ups and downs regardless of the outcome.
Do you have a mentor, or are you one?
We have many mentors through books and audiobooks and podcasts – Jim Rhon and Tony Robbins, to name a few.
What’s your plan B?
We are all or nothing, but plan B is always investing in our own knowledge so we can continue to improve ourselves, our service and the lives of others. Crack that and you’re prepared for anything. You don’t have anything if you don’t have your health.
What is the most worthwhile investment (time, energy, Money) that you have made?
The best time, energy and money has been spent on traveling, books, courses, retreats, well-sourced food and experiences that enrich the soul and the mind.
What one failure are you glad you experienced?
Our health ‘failure’ of having cancer has taught us to look at the body holistically and given us the passion for re-educating ourselves and to help others.
What is coming up for your Brand?
We see 2budds as the most trusted and effective product and service on the market with a flexible subscription model for our clients to keep them on track and help them not wasting time having to re-order.
What book would you recommend that everyone reads and why?
Well, of course, we would recommend a free copy of the 2BUDDS E-Book by visiting 2buddscbd.com and the Slight Edge by Jeff Olson which teaches you about the ‘success habits’ and mindset you need to achieve your goals.
How do you find balance in your daily life?
Stephen: Making the first few hours about personal health. 5 am up meditate, move, affirmations and yoga. Then a morning walk with my partner and my little princess, Penelope.
Greg: Healthy first meal of the day, long walk in the country with my dog, Kobi, and a session in the gym with a sauna after. I’m mindful that to be happy you must be present.
