Shelter’s Vertical Rush

Vertical Rush is “the UK’s original tower-running challenge”, raising money for homelessness charity, Shelter.

The UK’s original tower-running challenge Vertical Rush will be taking place on 14th March 2019. Over the past 10 years, the event has seen 9,850 runners scale the iconic Tower 42 in the City of London. Now in its 11th year, one runner is set to become the 10,000th person to cross the finish line in support of homelessness charity, Shelter.

Shelter fights for the millions of people whose lives are blighted by homelessness, bad conditions, soaring rents, discrimination and the threat of eviction. And won’t stop until everybody has a safe
place to call home.

Shelter is inviting London to help conquer homelessness by taking part and climbing up the impressive 932 steps, and 42 floors, of Tower 42. Participants can either sign up as a solo runner
or make it a team effort and race each other to the top.

Not only will participants help to raise vital funds for Shelter’s much-needed frontline services, but they’ll have the satisfaction of completing an awe-inspiring challenge. All runners are kitted out with a technical running top and goodie bag, provided with chip-timed results, and receive a medal and celebratory free sports massage at the end of the race.

What does it cost? Registration is only £24 for a solo runner or £99 for a team of 5 – less than £20 each! You’ll also need to pledge to raise £159 as a solo runner or £799 as a group.
