Mr Black’s Espresso Martini Festival

A five-day festival dedicated to the espresso martini is set to get Londoners buzzing when it returns with a caffeinated bang to the capital between 7 – 11 August, 2019.

The festival will see bartenders across the city rustling up their own fresh take on the classic espresso martini. The likes of Opium, 68 and Boston and El Camion in Soho, the birthplace of the espresso martini, and TT Liquor, The Ten Balls and Looking Glass Cocktail Club in Shoreditch will be participating in the third year of the festival.

For the first time, access to the festival is going to be completely free, while coffee lovers can simply snap up a digital pass online to unlock £6 cocktails at each of the participating bars across the city.

Festival-goers can get in on the secrets behind perfecting the nation’s favourite caffeinated cocktail at exclusive masterclasses with Mr Black’s global ambassador and coffee aficionado, Martin Hudak. The classes will be held at East London coffee drinkers hangout, Hackney Coffee Company, where guests will be able to dabble at making their own creative serves to enjoy on the night. Shoreditch institution Callooh Callay will also play host to a series of events throughout the festival in their members bar Jubjub, with a menu of six coffee cocktails across the week, intimate tastings and more.
