SEVEN DIALS CELEBRATES 30 YEARS OF THE SUNDIAL PILLAR WITH A FREE ONE-DAY EVENT, FESTIVAL 30

On Saturday 29 June, Seven Dials presents Festival 30, a FREE one-day family friendly festival from 11-6pm, presenting an exciting collection of entertainment, crafting workshops and pop-up activity, all to mark the 30th anniversary of the iconic Sundial Pillar and the momentous conservation efforts of the Seven Dials Trust.

Explore the vibrant district of Seven Dials, nestled between Covent Garden and Soho, like never before with a day full of free music, entertainment, crafting, workshops and more. Plus, unmissable in-store promotions, activations and exclusive discounts. For one day only, each of the seven interconnecting streets will be traffic free with the iconic pop-up lawn placed around the dial and alfresco dining.

Head to the centre of Seven Dials between 11-6pm to find all day music from festival favourite DJ’s The Collyer Twins. One half of the identical duo, Jordan Collyer will be presenting a day’s programme with guest DJs throughout the day being announced soon.
Head to Shorts Gardens where the curators of the highly anticipated Seven Dials Market, KERB, will showcase an array of their award-winning food traders for one-day only to get a taste of what is to come in September. Check SevenDials.co.uk for the latest traders to be added to the line-up.

Ticket holders can toast the occasion with a complimentary Monmouth Fizz at Monmouth Kitchen’s pop-up bar on Earlham Street and get involved with the various outdoor workshops hosted by Another Space on Tower Street, followed by the exclusive Seven Dials Summer Smoothie for only £3 from London’s coolest vegan restaurant, Redemption, on Shorts Gardens available at Festival 30 for one day only.

Neal Street will be transformed into a hub of craft and creativity with a full schedule of free, interactive masterclasses from the team at creative hub CREOATE – known for their curated edit of female independent makers, creators, workshops and creative experiences – who have just opened their first ever permanent immersive concept space store on Neal Street. Workshops will take place around three themes; Experience Creativity, Sustainability in Fashion, and Female Empowerment.

Get festival make-up ready with Shine Shack, who will be offering free glitter face make-overs all day on Monmouth Street with their latest line of eco-friendly and biodegradable glitter, discover the roaming sounds of acoustic trio Truly Medley Deeply, and capture the day’s festivities at the free campervan photobooth on Monmouth Street.

Not to be missed, visitors can try their hand at a free, interactive stencilling workshop with London artist Toby Morison, getting creative with Toby’s designs inspired by the iconic Seven Dials Sundial pillar monument.

In aid of charity partner The Seven Dials Trust, there will be a series of activations taking place during the day; be sure to visit Mercer Street for family friendly games and an array of community stalls organised by the Trust on Earlham Street. As well as a pop-up exhibition detailing the remarkable history of Seven Dials and the momentous efforts of the trust to reconstruct one of
London’s iconic landmarks, the sundial pillar that sits at the heart of Seven Dials.

Throughout the day, exclusive Festival 30 discounts, promotions and activations can be found at many Seven Dials retailers including Rosa’s Thai Café, Flesh and Buns, Pierre Herme, Monmouth Kitchen, Knomo, Farah, Laura Lee Jewellery, Miller Harris, Ollie Quinn, Dr. Martens, Dinny Hall, Neal’s Yard Remedies, Birkenstock and many more.
